Ada Diamonds - SF

Before working with ADA, I went into the process of buying an engagement ring worried about the uncertainties that can come with buying a diamond online. Would the stone be good quality? Would the setting? How would I know that the stone I chose wouldn't have imperfections not considered in the grading process? When doing research about the process on reddit, I came upon a post by one of the founders (?) listing some of the things Ada Diamonds considers during their quality control check of prospective diamonds and I decided to work with them. I worked remotely with Jessi R of their SF location and the process was an absolute joy. There was clarity and transparency at every step and I felt confident that I was getting an engagement ring that was everything my partner wanted. For the level of customization in the process, the timeline moved smoothly, and there were various checkpoints where you could see what the ring would look like. Although I don't anticipate needing it, the complimentary resizing assuaged the nervousness of buying online. I would and will recommend Ada Diamonds wholeheartedly to anyone looking to purchase a lab grown diamond engagement ring, friends and family included.

We had such a lovely experience working with Jessi R at Ada Diamonds. I’d highly recommend her and the Ada team to anyone in the market for a ring. She worked with us to design an anniversary ring and we could not have been happier. She was extremely responsive to every single question we had through the process and I felt like the entire process was transparent and smooth. Buying a diamond, particularly online, can feel daunting but she guided us through the process and was always willing to send another picture or video if we weren’t sure. A friend had recommended Ada to us and I’m so happy they did!

I have used Ada for my wife’s engagement and wedding rings, as well as a diamond necklace for her wedding gift. Every time the process was streamlined and efficient, and Lauren in particular was so helpful when helping my wife decide what wedding band would pair best with her engagement ring. We live out of state which isn’t ideal but she worked patiently with us, setting up zoom calls and providing an array of media and suggestions to help us pick the perfect band. She also was a huge help in rushing my necklace order when it was out of stock so that it could be delivered in time for the wedding. I know Ada prides themselves in the quality of their diamonds, but they should also pride themselves in the quality of their customer service as well. I’m sure I will continue to use them in the future.

I had a good experience designing my ring and loved it upon receiving it, but I wish I had known that the craftsmanship is questionable. I took a risk deciding on an online retailer without a location in my city to visit, and I wish I had thought on it some more. I noticed a missing side stone sometime last week, and my husband requested for a replacement. Turns out missing stone repairs are only covered for up to 2 years, and we're at the 2 year and 9 month mark. I thought they'd be more understanding considering it's to not fault of my own, and I don't even wear my engagement ring when doing any activities that might result in wear and tear. I've had friends and family who purchased engagement rings from Brilliant Earth who had one-time exceptions made to them for manufacturing defects even though they had no warranty on missing stones whatsoever. I had higher expectations considering the quote for Ada for my engagement ring was much higher than Brilliant Earth, and I went with it anyways thinking I could trust them more than a large retailer. My wedding band that's pictured is from Brilliant Earth, and I haven't had any stones fall out from it to this day and have worn it for over two years now. I would advise others to think twice about getting an engagement ring from Ada Diamonds for this alone. They are not as interested in maintaining a long-term relationship with their customers in the same way local jewellers or some major retailers might.

Jessi R. and the Ada team were amazing to work with throughout the whole engagement. Jessi was so great with helping us narrow down on what we wanted for an engagement ring, then expedited our ring design and production so the ring would be ready for a big trip we had planned. After such a positive experience with the engagement ring, we knew we had to work with them again for the wedding bands. Jessi helped guide me to a ring color that suits my skin tone, even though I initially wasn't considering that color. She was 100% right and I am thankful for her expertise. Jessi also helped guide us to a wedding band for my wife that would best compliment the engagement ring. Even on quick trips to their office for dropping off a ring for resizing or polishing, the staff was always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend reaching out to Ada if you are in the market for an engagement or wedding ring. You will not regret it!
